Bath time

Watching
my son and my daughter
laugh and splash
in the bathtub
I suddenly realize
that to love
is to accept
mortality

  1. Yeah, well, I ain’t there yet dude, I mean, the weekly shower I try to avoid, so a bath, wow, do people actually take bathes? or baths? u no wot, i don’t even no how to spell dat plural. Mortality, er ? D’you mean dat some people are actually gonna like die is wot u mean? Ooh, scary thought dude. Poets and philosophers should not spend too much time in bathrooms. Or maybe they should for dat matter. djn

  2. This poem sums up perfetly months of thoughts I had about love and death since I know I’m going to be an uncle.
